Welcome Back Everyone, I’m Tracie Savage
Covering The Bases, News, Traffic and Dodgers
A Sherman Oaks Woman has turned her love for the Dodgers and for good fashion into moneymaking business.
J.J. Matis has been going to Dodger Games since she was a toddler. Five years ago while in graduate school, she was looking for some kind of bag to carry all of her Dodger Stuff.

J.J.:
I was looking for something to carry my pom poms, foam finger, peanuts, water bottle, binoculars in while going to Dodger Games. When I went up to the Top Of The Park Store, all I could find were the traditional duffle and backpack style bags.

Tracie Savage:
But, like any woman, J.J. wanted something a bit more fashionable. So she go out her dusty old sewing machine from Middle School and made one. A backpack in the shape of a baseball and then glue-gunned a Dodger Logo to the front of it.

J.J.:
Everywhere I went: the Ladies Room, Concession Lines, Up & Down the isles, around the whole stadium, I was inundated with, “Where’d you get that bag?”

Tracie Savage:
And, that’s how it started. It took her a year to get her business together. Then, 3 weeks after she getting her MBA, she got a letter from Major League Baseball saying she was being given a License! That alone is a huge accomplishment.

J.J.:
What actually began exclusively for the Dodgers has now expanded to additional leagues, new teams, new all designs, new styles…. And, I just keep coming up with products that the leagues like (NBA, Major League Baseball, NHL) and they’re selling out everywhere!

Tracie Savage:
And, let me tell you these bags are absolutely adorable! Even one of the top Big Wigs with the Dodgers carry’s J.J’s bags If you want to find out more, J.J. has a website: http://www.jmatis.com
